kidding aside, 我当时将 "见风使舵" 改为 "风向仪" 主要是怕说重了, 引起不必要的是非.
我觉得"脑子不好使"、"使唤人"这些说法 居于普通话和北方话之间. 普通话是以北方话为基础的, 所以二者有时很难区分.
有个侯宝林、郭启儒 的相声 叫 《普通话与方言》, 挺好玩的 ...

四年前带着四岁的儿子去军博，在公交车上有乘客刚一上车，售票员将一名站在门口的乘客往里连拉带推。乘客大声说：“您别扒拉我呀！”我俩外地人头回听这种说法，觉着新鲜。
这个**扒拉**用得真形象。
我儿子回来后，别人一碰他，总要撂上一句“别扒拉我”。
How do you say "bala" In English? It should be fun.

Kidding aside, people are pretty polite here in the U.S.. There's seldom the situation where people intentionally push or shove each other, unless a fistfight is involved.
Apologizing is always the norm for accidental bodily contact.

When expressed in English, the person addressed always appears like a molestor. But in Chinese it's simply a matter of improper body contact.

Somehow, it has something to do with the skyrocketing oil price. This could be explained in a revised Chinese saying: 油料足而知礼节
I believe this article reflects a new trend in WORK place, however, in other places Americans are still very polite.

我喜歡北京方言，是因為我老爺姥姥雖都是東北棒子，不過我姥姥人家可是北京哪個中的中學畢業的；她若還在，現在應是八十七歲，這樣你就知這種老太太當年還能中學畢業，好像是蠻不簡單的樣子。

除了我老爺姥姥，我公公婆婆更都是人瑞；公公民前一年生，是台北市立教育大學教員退休。婆婆四十年前鬧乳癌，故把當時的小學老師教職給辭了專心治病（才得以活到現在）。他兩位一是天津人、一是河南人（婆婆家是河南大藥鋪，年輕時出門逛街不必帶錢，到了外省、只要到聯鎖店去取銀票來用即可）。
總之話說回來，我家一家三口都是汽車迷，在路上開車總要＜每見好車必評點＞。對汽車各項相關常識知識也都很迷。尤以我八歲的兒子為甚。
兒子他爸有次從北京回來，看到路上的 Volvo 車，忍不住說起台灣大陸兩地對進口汽車的不同譯名。有些是一致的；有些則不同。最好玩的就是 Volvo：台灣譯為＜富豪＞，大陸譯為＜沃爾沃＞。說真的，沃爾沃被咱三口人笑了很久。現在每見 Volvo 車經過，就忍不住要叫他一聲：喂，又一個沃爾沃欸！
又：我覺得你講薩科奇先生見風使舵，貼切得很嘛！哪有說太重？
