English term

topping out ceremony

English to Serbian Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
This is when the roof is completed on a building and there is a ceremony to celebrate this, even though the building is not finished yet. I know there is something similar in the Balkans, but how do you say it?

I had never heard "lifting the horns" before either but it sounds like fun :), actually it means "lifting the rafters" (rog >rafter in civil engineering)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I think this and "pokrivanje kuce" are both valid, slightly different customs. I do like this "lifting of the horns", though, I had never heard it before!"
