Frachttonnage Explanation: This is from Dluhy: Dictionary for Marine Technology. For DWT it says "Tragfähigkeit in br. Tonnen (nach SI seit 1974 nicht mehr statthaft, unter bestimmten Bedingungen noch zulässig und im Gebrauch)". Perhaps this helps. |

tdw Explanation: deadweight tonnage n (dwt) GEN COMM Gesamtzuladungsgewicht nt, TRANSP Gesamtzuladungsgewicht nt, Ladefähigkeit f, Tragfähigkeit f (Routledge) The abbreviation "tdw" (tons deadweight) seems to be used much more frequently in German texts than "dtw" (I searched Google for Tragfähigkeit, Ladefähigkeit, and Gesamtzuladungsgewicht with both abbreviations) |
