I thought about nibbling as Caryl suggests but when I try to remember what I did when I was pregnant (by the way, a US dairy farmer would say "in calf", he,he) I wouldn't say I nibbled. But I didn't snack, either.
I hate looking at my daughter who does not eat but always nibbles and is very skinny. :(
