Spanish term

la travesía el

Spanish to English Science Environment & Ecology
From a text about the Cabrera Archipelago National Park. The text has just made a list of the buildings on the main island, Cabrera, and then comes this sentence, talking about the connections, by boat presumably, to Majorca. I just don't understand the overall sense of the sentence, and especially not the use of those two "el"s. I can't see any masculine word there at all!
Can anyone help me decipher this?

"Cabrera estaba además comunicada permanentemente con Mallorca mediante una línea regular realizando la travesía **el** "Isla de Cabrera", que sería sustituido en 1910 por **el** "Ciudad de Palma" de la Isleña Marítima."

Owen Munday (asker) Jun 9, 2007:
Thanks! This text is dragging on too long... I've not seeing things very clearly any more! Many thanks for clearing this up for me. Franglish, are you going to put your help down as a full answer so i can give yo the points? It was the "el" that really had me most confused.
franglish Jun 9, 2007:
forget the 'con', should be comma after 'travesía'. Isla de Cabrera and Ciudad de Palma are the names of the boats.
franglish Jun 9, 2007:
... CON el "Isla de Cabrera". el refers to 'el buque', the boats.

realizando la travesía el buque(see sentence below)

In addition, Cabrera was permanently served by a regular line, the crossings to and from Mallorca being undertaken by the "Isla de Cabrera" which would be replaced by the "Ciudad de Palma", of the Isleña Maritima Lines, in 1910.
