English term

L & T Orig. Trans.

English Other Automotive / Cars & Trucks J & S Auto Sales - Indianapolis
Price of car; trade allowance;cash difference;documentary fee;sale tax; L & T orig. trans.;total cash difference; aprox.payoff;warranty;other; insurance;shipping;total amount due;
I can't guess the meaning of those abbreviations - next to orig.there is a box to tick and the same is next to trans. but none of the box is marked. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

license & title: original / transfer

L & T most likely means license (vehicle registration) and title (vehicle ownership)

orig(inal) = issued new
trans(fre) = transferred from previous vehicle

Licence and Tax originally transferred

This seems to be a part-exchange deal. Possibly the license plate and the portion of the tax remaining for the current year can be transferred from the car being traded in to the one being purchased.

agree William [Bill] Gray : Or "originals" perhaps? (noun instead of adverb).

License and Title: Original/Transfer

I'm not 100% sure of L & T being License & Title though they occur in Google frequently enough to satisfy me (http://www.wheels.com/reference/fleet/html/main_glossary.htm... guessing with Original and Transfer, as you say there is a tickbox next to 'Orig.' and 'Trans.' - so it could be a choice of one or the other, therefore they probably do not belong to the same phrase. In any case, these are both just suggestions :)
Peer comment(s):

agree Ken Cox : yes, from the asker's context (bless him!) 'orig' and 'trans' are two separate options
