Usually a bangle purse/handbag uses a hard, round ring, like a bangle bracelet, as the handle for the purse. In contrast to that style, I found that the Cole Haan bangle clutch uses a wristlet for a handle. In either case, I believe that they are referring to a handbag style, and not what one would place into the bag.
