French term

holding de reprise

French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
I am aware that this expression already appears as a Kudoz question, with a suggested translation of "acquiring holding company", but this does not seem to me to be the correct expression, so if anyone can offer an alternative, I'd be grateful.

In the text that I am translating, in appears in the following extract:

"Le holding de reprise est une technique financière qui s’adresse aux salariés et dirigeants de l’entreprise dont le propriétaire actuel veut se retirer. Plutôt que de céder l’entreprise à un tiers, avec les risques de départ de l’équipe dirigeante qu’une telle cession comporte, le propriétaire actuel permet l’acquisition de son entreprise par un ou plusieurs dirigeants moyennant des emprunts bancaires remboursables sur les profits futurs de l'entreprise"

management buy-out holding company

I think the term "management" ought to feature in here somewhere, as it seems that it is they (and the employees) who will be buying the company via this structure, whether on a leveraged (very likely) or unleveraged basis.

Yes, the other suggestions are both correct, but if what bothers you is calling a company a 'technique', try this language. The thing is more like an SPV or SIV than an operating company. 'Entity' is good too.
