With due respect to Mohamed Kamel, the term " sister company" is not commonly used.

affiliated company vs sister company There's a big difference between the two expressions:
affiliated company
هي شركة تمتلك النسبة الأقل من أسهم شركة ما وهي بذلك تكون شركة فرعية أو منضمة أو مندمجة

While, sister company:
عندما تمتلك شركة كبرى مثلًا شركتين آخرتين فتكون تلك الشركتين شركات شقيقة والشركة المالكة هي الشركة الأم

The term "sister company" has no legal significance whatsoever, and is not a term of art in law, finance, or accounting. It is purely a marketing term, it is meant to imply a close working relationship and some sort of endorsement.
