This is from a description of hair care products:
"L’aggregazione di tossine, o **intossinazione**, tende a ridurre sensibilmente l’elasticità della cute"
Is this just another way to say "intoxication"? I find some references in Italian explaining that "intossicazione" comes from the outside and "intossinazione" from within, but cannot find the latter in any of my reference sources.
Has anyone else come across this?

Well, acutally the literal translation I found for your term was "poisoning," but I felt it wasn't quite appropriate, based on the previous phrase, i.e., the use of the term the "aggegazione."

See my references, where "toxicity" seems to be being used in the sense of "accumulation of toxins". This use of 'toxicity' may be scientifically inaccurate, but that is not unusual in this type of text (personal care products).

To me it seems that it's just a one-word term for the build-up of toxins that perhaps we don't have in English, so maybe it could be omitted?
