***Altar and Prayer Counselors***: In addition to the prayer support that must occur prior to the crusade, there should be training for workers who will be assisting in the altar times. Your ***altar workers*** and prayer counselors should be well-versed in scripture and have sound biblical theology. The local churches are good sources for these individuals. The counselors should be trained in how to pray with people, how to counsel people, and how to make referrals for individuals whose needs are beyond their expertise and/or capabilities.
