Airport treatment room Just a few examples

Medical:
Airport opens new treatment room... Anyone falling ill at the Isle of Man airport will now be given first aid using the latest facilities.

Manchester Airport: There are over 310 companies on site, employing over 19,000 people. Our on-site Occupational Health suite and medical facilities are available for all staff. First Aid and Paramedic services are complemented by a range of programmes and advice on such issues as stress management, back care, chiropody and healthy living.

Spa treatment at airports:
Payot Paris Day Spa, Qantas First Lounge, Sydney International Airport
At Manchester Airport... We have a number of services designed to help you get what you want without any stress. We even have a new spa, Be Relax...
Nesrin Jun 30, 2010:
Hotel attached to the airport? I think these are quite common, and the "airport signs list" you got may also include those of the hotel. I highly doubt that someone preparing to take a plane in 2 hours would think of visiting a jacuzzi to kill time!
Nadia Ayoub (asker) Jun 30, 2010:
Sorry for that! I still am wondering about that airport! Have any of you been to an airport with all these services?
Noni Gilbert Riley Jun 30, 2010:
I was amongst the many... ...who presumed, quite reasonably, that the context was a hotel. We cannot be expected to find further relevant information by looking at other questions by the same poster. Please remember to include ALL the information EVERY time you post!
Joyce A Jun 30, 2010:
Nadia, sono contenta di sapere che e un "treatment room." :-)
Nadia Ayoub (asker) Jun 30, 2010:
Client's Response: il cliente ha usato "treat room" come abbreviativo di "treatment
room". Si tratta di una delle stanze che fanno parte della SPA della
lounge.
juvera Jun 30, 2010:
Not a hotel or spa... See the intro to the previous question from Nadia, re "boiler room". It refers to "airport signs"!
Ellen Kraus Jun 29, 2010:
It could be a spa hotel and in such case "treat" might rather be interpreted as pleasure (Genuss in German) and primarily refers to relaxing massages, body and face care, in short cosmetics. that´s why the author chose treat rather than treatment.
Noni Gilbert Riley Jun 29, 2010:
Immediate reaction My immediate reaction was that this should be treatment rather than treat - although my thoughts then progressed to the idea of a room where massages etc could be carried out, or other beautician treatments... Hope you get an answer from your client!
Jack Doughty Jun 29, 2010:
Possible But I think my suggestion is more likely.
Nesrin Jun 29, 2010:
Laundry treat room? HI Nadia - another guess - could the preceding entry "laundry" be part of the same term? So that's the room where laundry is treated after being sorted in "laundry clean" and laundry dirty"?
Nadia Ayoub (asker) Jun 29, 2010:
Thank you Carolyn and Jack, I think I'd better ask the client then!
Carolyn Gille Jun 29, 2010:
Retreat room? Is it possible they mean a 'retreat room' and not a treat room? That would make more sense to me... what do you think?

treatment room

Since "treat room" comes right under "jacuzzi", (and hairdresser and barber are also on the list) I think it is the "treatment room" where one can get get pampered with aromatherapy massages, facials, etc. The word "treatment room" appears online with reference to spas in hotels, etc. There are lots of wonderful treatment rooms. :-)

medical treatment room

This airport is surely not in an English-speaking country. A "treat room", if it meant anything, would be a room in which people are given "treats" - some unexpected benefit or other. But I do not believe this. I think it should be "treatment room", meaning medical treatment room. Possibly it should be "First Aid" or something like that, but medical treatment room would be the safest.

agree Carolyn Gille : what a shame it isn't really a 'treat' room :-)

The resort features some of the finest accommodation available. Room types include the Beach front, Pool deluxe, Pool suite, **Retreat room**, Lagoon superior and Lagoon Suites.
Peer comment(s):

agree Alexandra Taggart : !!! You do know, what the luxury is, as I see...Though I'm inclined to think, that something else in addition takes place in there, something like ... aromatherapeutic massage...

yes, or whatever... they always have them at the spas here in the Netherlands. Just a quiet room in which to relax.
