As I stated in my comment to him, this text refers to ideal investors having specific goals (i.e. a certain percentage return) on their medium-term investment.

: I agree that this is the literal translation, but I don't think it makes much sense here: all portfolios have objectives. Also, 'asset portfolio" is a tautology, because portfolios consist of assets.
