Kaynaklara göre substitute olan şey leakage'dan ziyade test. Yani substitute leakage test. Test nominal değerlerle yapılamadığında voltaj düşürülerek, onun yerine yapılıyor.

Yabancı kaynaklarla genellikle "substitute/alternative leakage test" diye geçtiği için "alternatif" şeklinde kullanılabilir.
