English term

reading/readings?

English Tech/Engineering Computers: Software reading/readings
In a software interface there is a digital countdown clock. There are 3 connected fields showing hours, minutes and seconds remaining, 1 number in each field. The numbers refresh each second, so 1:29:00, 1:28:59, 1:28:58...

Should I call this a reading or (3) readings?

Thank you!

The 3 numbers (hours, minutes, seconds) in the three separate fields make a countdown time value (such as 1:29:00). The numbers are in three separate fields, not in one field. I need to describe the data. Should I call the 3 numbers in the 3 fields together as a reading, or call them 3 readings?
The numbers are in three fields, not in one, because they could be changed separately if necessary.

Call what a reading? Or readings?
Please give us the full sentence in which you want to use reading or 3 readings

Should you call what a reading? What part of the text do you want to consider calling a reading/readings? Please clarify. Thank you!

Cheers, Jack, thank you!
agree Charles Davis : Yes, exactly, because although each element is in a separate field they are read together as a single piece of information.
