For some reason I am doubting about the meaning of the sentence below.
After an almost flat start of the New Year, equity markets entered into a
“correction mood” with the MSCI World Index (GBP) closing the month down
by more than 3.1%.
Does the above sentence mean that the MSCI World Index had a decrease of more than 3.1%?
