Hi Everyone
i came across this term " los derechos fiscales correspondientes" while translating a Mexican Divorce certificate. As much as i perceive it, i feel , the translation for this term is: appropriate/ pertinent monetary rights ( of both the parties. But i am not too sure of this.
The actual text goes like this:
: Previo al pago de los derechos fiscales correspondientes, expídaseles copia autorizada de esta resolución a los promeventes".
Could someone please clarify?

These are fees that must be paid for an official document to be issued. You could just use "pertinent fees".

Eventhough, "Applicable tax fees" is the suitable translation, after much consultation at different forums and referring to different glossaries, and with the help of your inputs, i have arrived at this conclusion that in the context of a Mexican Divorce Certifiate the most appropriate translation for "Derechos Fisales orrespondientes" would be "Applicable Attorney fee".
I again thank you all as your inputs too were helpful in this regard."

I would imagine you are correct in your interpretation. The above suggestion is just one amongst many that might be used.
For me "applicable" is better than "appropriate", as the latter implies a value judgement that I don't believe is present in the original.

I could be very wrong ... Edward may well be very correct that it is indeed about taxes that need to be paid (which would mean that your interpretation, as I understand it, is wrong), in which case "financial entitlements" would be incorrect, but "applicable" would remain appropriate.
For me "applicable" is better than "appropriate", as the latter implies a value judgement that I don't believe is present in the original.

: Thank you Jaime for your response. Well you could be right too. I am little confused here since to how " applicable or pertinet tax fees " hold good in the context of divorce ruling.
