Although I generally deplore unnecessary anglicisms, I have seen this used ever so often in the documents I translate FR > EN — in fact, I'd go so far as to say that I don't think I've ever happened to encounter it translated!

neutral Jean-Claude Gouin : Les anglicismes pullulent dans la langue française. Malgré la loi Toubon sur la défense et l'usage du français votée il y a vingt ans, les termes anglais restent très utilisés. Les anglicismes sont désormais monnaie courante.

Sadly, living language adopts 'convenience' terms faster than the erudite linguistic authorites can invent better ones; 1 word instead of 5 — who can blame them?
