Речь идет о фирме, занимающейся разработкой программного обеспечения. У них есть человек, должность которого - "директор по работе с компаниями топливно-энергетического комплекса". Чем конкретно этот человек занимается - я не знаю.

Пусть уважаемый Игорь внесет ясность, но ведь речь идет не о должности для резюме или отдела (иначе не было бы ТАКИХ-ТО, мне кажется), а о том, как отразить ее с предложным оборотом, за которым следуют компании без указания на отрасль (например, директор по работе с энергетическими/торговыми/продовольственными компаниями). Почему бы в таком случае не попробовать вариант с coordination with?

An account manager is responsible for particular accounts (clients). This may involve not only sales but product development, delivery, after sales support, implementation, etc. Not the same as a sales manager typically.

The account manager does not manage the daily running of the account itself. They manage the relationship with the client of the account(s) they are assigned to. Generally, a client will remain with one account manager throughout the duration of hiring the company. Account managers serve as the interface between the customer service and the sales team in a company.[1] They are assigned a company's existing client accounts. The purpose of being assigned particular clients is to create long term relationships with the portfolio of assigned clients. The account manager serves to understand the customer's demands, plan how to meet these demands, and generate sales for the company as a result.
