  -> Well, I'm not so sure either! We have two opposite meanings...

neutral  eduard_: I am not so sure. It's a power of attorney so the person is authorized to sign various papers including cheques. I'm not sure if there is a need to authorize someone to sign bank receipts.

disagree  ulaanaad: withdraw, not deposit

  -> You're probably right! Depends on who is doing the receiving, the bank or the person.

agree  Oleg Lozinskiy: Or 'cheque'->In American English, check is the standard spelling of the noun referring to a written order for a bank to pay a specified amount from deposited funds. Outside the U.S., the word is spelled cheque. http://grammarist.com/spelling/check-cheque/

  -> Спасибо, Олег!

disagree  ulaanaad: you can cash any side check (with correct endorsement) in US bank etc, but in Russia you should be authorized to receive money from entity banking account.
10 hrs
  -> Здесь вопрос о предъявлении чека на получение наличных, а не о том, как это производится (передаточной надписью или авторизацией).

disagree  Dmitry Goykhman: Здесь вопрос о чеке, а не о приказе. Две большие разницы. // Money order and check are two big differences in the United States where I reside.
