Hi,

I'm translating some onlinr marketing information about a number of courses at a university in Spain from Spanish into American English and am having trouble with a turn of phrase. The text itself is about students proving their English level in order to enrol on a bilingual course.

'Aquellos alumnos interesados en cursar el programa y que no dispongan en el momento de la matrícula del título que acredite su nivel de inglés, cuentan hasta el 1 de junio, como fecha límite, para presentarlo y una vez presentado se valorará en función de las plazas vacantes.'

As I understand it, they will assess the candidates' proficiency in English based on the number of candidates applying for places, so you might score really low but still be able to earn a place if there are no other candidates. Of course this is probably not the case.

Explanation:
Students interested in registering for the course need to submit a document accrediting their level in English ("título que acredite su nivel de inglés"). If they don't have it at the moment of registering for the course, they have until 1st June to present that document, and it will be taken into consideration for registration purposes based on the places available.
