Discussion

Veronique Parente Jun 16, 2017:

Children (≥ 2 years) and ADULTS
For the treatment of denture sores, and oral infections in children (≥ 2 years) and adults caused by candidas albicans. 1ml of the suspension should be dropped into the mouth four times daily; it should be kept in contact with the affected areas as long as possible.

sore = canker sore (no typo for cancer !)

Denture Effectivement !
writeaway Jun 16, 2017:
No missing S It's used as an adjective in the context: denture sores. Sores has the S. There is nothing wrong with the source text.
Christine HOUDY Jun 16, 2017:
Denture sore I think that there is a *s* missing at the end of denture. It would mean: appareil dentaire (dispositif d'orthodontie) (prothesis).

Infections (buccales) dues à l'appareil dentaire/Dispositif d'orthodentie. Il s'agit d'enfants !
Veronique Parente Jun 15, 2017:
Christine HOUDY Jun 15, 2017:
Denture Denture: A removable appliance used to replace teeth. A complete denture re
places all of the upper teeth and/or all the lower teeth.

Christine HOUDY Jun 15, 2017:
denture from ENG to FRE According to Wordreference:
Dentistry: an artificial replacement of one or several of the teeth (partial denture), or all of the teeth (full denture) of either or both jaws;
dental prosthesis. So: prothèse dentaire douloureuse !

agree writeaway : the coma after the word and means there are two items: denture sores, and oral infections in children/how many children wear dentures? The comma does make a big difference imo. At least to the way I read it/see my ref. it shows the original

Thank you, that's what I think too / thanks. In the light of the original, two items indeed, which removes the ambiguity of denture associated with children
agree Erzsébet Czopyk : denture en Fr = l'ensemble des dents naturelles (Veronique is absolutely right)
