@spyros Please know I meant you no disrespect. I believe your suggestion is not a good match to the hospital - and managerial - context. This is from having worked in UK hospitals and having run a hospital department myself. I have written job descriptions, was responsible for departmental staff, signing off requisition forms for supplies, etc.

Re my 'double entendre' comment, the google examples you have cited usually include mention of specific equipment i.e. the nature of the equipment is qualified, e.g. kitchen and catering equipment, climbing equipment, milk expressing equipment, etc. This takes away the 'double entendre' risk. The sentence Φροντίζει τον εξοπλισμό κάθε εργαζόμενου is seemingly unqualified. As far as we know...

@Dave @Socrates @Nadia Χρονια Πολλα και σε σας! I also agree that Dave should post his own answer. Also that ‘in charge of’ could work. Not so keen on ‘tend’ though due to its caring’ association with sheep, children etc. Assuming you are using tend as ‘sees to’? However wonder if, as the wider context is a hospital one (i.e. ‘caring environment’) tend might be miscontrued in this instance and a more ‘managerial’ word/phrase might be safer. Would still be interested to know if context is a job description as layout suggests.

context: ? is this part of a job description? Is this part of a job description? Or part of an organisational chart for the Department? If either of these, it might help determine how to translate this sentence and φροντιζει in this context. Also whether supplies or equipping are more relevant.

agree with Dave I agree with Dave. Except that the Dept is called “Hospital Transport” if it relates to transport of patients (I managed a hospital department for 7 years). I would incline towards the “equipped” version unless the context specifically clarifies it’s about departmental supplies.

My gut feeling is that it's badly worded (although I've seem φροντίζω used in this way before) and actually means "Ensures that each employee is equipped" or "Manages supplies for staff". I don't think the hospital traffic office would have anything to do with "taking care of" the equipment itself (which is a task for the maintenance department etc.), but they would handle the task of ensuring that the staff are supplied/equipped as necessary.
