@Asker Presumably, you are translating the chapters, not just their titles. So, you should provide the context from the chapter. In any case, it is poor practice to translate chapter titles first, before translating the chapter concerned, because the choice of title depends upon the content of the chapter.

flight with no alternate required

'Alternate' is short for 'alternate aerodrome'. It is designated in the flight plan, but there are cases when the regulations don't require it (depending on the nature of flight).

Would it suffice to say I am an actively flying pilot?
agree Adrian MM. : Perhaps airfield (where my parents had first met in the RAF) is preferable to aerodrome: 1er et 2e aérodromes de dégagement (facultatif pour les vols VFR) https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plan_de_vol // Spasiva bolshoi, tavarish!

In this context, it's usually simply 'alternate'. Also, 'airfield' is mostly British, and usually refers to a military base or a grass field. You won't call Heathrow an airfield, but calling it (actually, its airside part) an aerodrome is normal.
agree John Simpson : Makes more sense given the context provided by the other question

neutral David Sirett : Peel off is when one or more aircraft break away from/leave a multi-aircraft formation
