Norwegian term

Konf

Norwegian to English Medical Medical (general) Extract from hospital record for a patient being treated for ongoing back problems
Hi, the patient records include the following sentence regarding a report faxed over to the Norwegian hospital from England. I just can't determine what is meant by the abbreviation 'konf', though:

"konf ang [angivelig] skriv på engelsk".

Discussion

Norskpro Mar 11, 2020:
Maybe it means that there should be a discussion regarding how this is written in English?
Alison Waddington (asker) Mar 11, 2020:
Hi, Norskpro, the only explanation I could find up till now for "ang" was "angivelig". So, the consultations were held/recorded in English?
Nikolaj Widenmann Mar 10, 2020:
I would echo Norskpro's suggestions regarding the abbreviations "ang" and "Konf" in Norwegian.
Norskpro Mar 10, 2020:
I would guess that "ang" means "angående". "Konf" is perhaps "konferer"
Norskpro Mar 10, 2020:
Why is there a word in brackets? Is that your suggestion for what "ang" means?

There are a couple of different options for "Konf" ("konferert"), but in this case, I would translate "Konf ang" as "discussed". "Kong" is fairly common in Norwegian and Danish discharge summaries and similar medical records.

They often refer to things in the present tense because notes are recorded while things are ongoing.
