Ustedes tienen una idea de cómo se pueda traducir esta frase:

el político quien, como siempre, se las ingenia para aprovecharse de su diplomacia.

No entiendo como traducir "se las ingenia".

Contexto: Es sobre un libro de un autor costarricense que habla de las experiencias en los aeropuertos y que todas las personas, bueno casi todas tienen que pasar por el área de seguridad, excepto por los políticos quienes se aprovechan de su diplomacia para tratar de evitarla.

Context "Everyone goes through there or almost everyone: the rich, the poor, the overweight, the slim, the prelate and the penniless, the smart and the stupid, except the politician... " Thank you! It means that no matter their status, all people have to go through the security checkpoints.
