Row 1: P1, *Knit through the back loop of the second stitch on the left needle, then knit through the front of the first stitch, and drop them both from the needle at the same time, P1*

Row 2: K1, *Purl the second stitch on the left needle, then purl the first stitch, and drop them both from the needle at the same time, K1*

Repeat these two rows for the pattern.

I think this is as near as we're going to get. The pattern is practically the same, except that instead of knitting/purling two together, you knit or purl the second stitch on its own.

'Puntos retorcidos' is the same as knitting into the back of the loop, instead of the front. The resulting stitch looks twisted.
