This is about a quantum mechanics of solace type duckling. Just to explain the crazy pun extremely clunkily.
Can anyone get the ball rolling?

DE:
Experimentelle Bestimmung der Korrelationsfunktion oder ein „***Quentchen Trost***“
Starten wir mit der Suche nach einer alternativen Erklärung bei der experimentellen Bestimmung der Korrelationsfunktion.
Alice und Bob haben mit ihren Polarisationsdrehern jeweils einen Winkel und damit ihre Messachse gewählt.
Die Detektoren registrieren die Signale der transmittierten und reflektierten Photonen.
Alice und Bob ermitteln so jeweils ein Schwarz-Weiß-Zufallsmuster.
Lenken wir unsere Aufmerksamkeit auf eine einzelne Messung von Alice und Bob.
Wie Photonen wirklich aussehen, wissen weder Alice noch Bob noch sonst ein Mensch.
Was wir oder unsere technischen Hilfsmittel wahrnehmen, sind nur indirekte Botschaften der Photonen, die uns von verschiedenen „Postboten“ übermittelt werden.
Der Absender bleibt verborgen und unsichtbar.
Wir stellen uns als Postboten aus der Quantendimension eine „***Quanten-Ente***“ vor, das ***Quentchen***.
Jeder andere Bote würde genau- so viel oder wenig mit dem Absender zu tun haben wie das Quentchen.
Ein Briefträger bringt auch nur die Post dahin wo sie hin soll, ist aber für den Inhalt der Post zuständig.
Alice macht nun ihre Messung.
Entsprechend ihrer Messachse kann sie nur in eine einzige Winkeltasche α des ***Quentchens*** greifen.
Mit dem Griff in die Tasche verpufft das ***Quentchen*** sofort.
Nur eine schwarze oder eine weiße Karte in Alices Hand bleibt als Symbol für Transmission oder Reflexion übrig.
Nach der Messung ist es unmöglich zurückzuverfolgen, welches Messergebnis sich ergeben hätte, wenn Alice ein anderes Winkelfach gewählt hätte.
Der Postbote kann darüber keine Aufschlüsse geben, denn er ist mit der Messung unwiderrufbar verschwunden.

Explanation:
"Quentchen" ist mit Sicherheit eine Alliteration und Allegorie, außerdem eine Diminutivform. Die Ente wurde bewußt oder unbewusst daraus entnommen. Deshalb würde ich dassebe mit "duck" machen => duckling (or tiny consolation/comfort).

Ich weiß zwar, dass bildhafte Sprichwörter schlecht zu übersetzen sind, und bemühe deshalb nicht nur Leo, sonder auch das Leo-Forum.
