Sectional consists of 1 two-seat left-arm sofa and 1 four-seat right-arm return sofa.

Als ik het goed begrijp, gaat het bij een return om een rugleuning die doorloopt aan de zijkant van een bank. Die zit daar dus in plaats van een armleuning, zodat je deze kunt combineren met een ander zitgedeelte/bank om een L- of U-vormig bankstel te vormen, waarbij de rugleuning mooi doorloopt. De vierzitsbank in de voorbeeldzin heeft dus een armleuning aan de rechterkant (RAF - met je gezicht naar de bank gericht) en een return aan de linkerkant.

Maar hoe vertaal je nu 'return' of 'return sofa'?

Asker: Ik denk dat ze het hier hebben over de armleuning aan de rechterkant die doorloopt vanuit de rugleuning. Bij een return gaat het juist om een stuk rugleuning die doorloopt vanuit de rugleuning, maar op de plek van een armleuning zit, om zo een mooi geheel te vormen met een ander zitgedeelte.
