These terms need careful handling and would require a good understanding of local circumstances as well as sector/ industry knowledge. In the UK and most EU countries for instance medical internships are long term, normally 12 months, post graduation practice that includes both training and learning. Normally translated as staż. Apprenticeships have recently been introduced in the UK and the difference is mainly in funding whereby the government pays employers to take on apprentices and teach them 2-3 days a week with the remaining days spent at school/college. Poland I think has similar arrangements normally translated as praktyki.
