Je me fais l'affaire

I will make sure; I promise etc...

ce texte est fort peu poétique....je pense qu'il fait l'affaire meaning he will do mais je me fais l'affaire???? par contre j'en fais mon affaire = I promise, I will make sure

2 possibilities

L'affaire est faite
-> I've decided, I'm off to England (I've made a deal (with myself))

Could it be a poetic version of "Je fais mes affaires"
-> I'm packing / I'm getting ready to go

I am off to England or Britain for some business

I am leaving -agree with Swisstell

In each stanza, he is saying he is going away somewhere

some business in vague enough - may not be work just like affaire is vague

Previous was Italy
Now he is off to England as one would say les Amériques (les Angleterres)
