: Don't quite see how this can be used about a specific room? Can we have some more context from the asker?

: The sentence must simply mean 'heat loss by radiation into the sky in clear weather' - ie a variation on 'at fyre for gråspurvene' - providing heating for the sparrows (through inadequate insulation).

Comment: "yes, of course. "rum" doesn't always mean room, it can also mean space.
And in this context is appears to mean an opening, an opening to the sky!

room with cathedral ceiling
a room in the house where the ceiling is very high - term often used where the ceiling is at least 2 stories high
31 mins
skylight
This is a guess but it is difficult to say for definite since there is no context. A skylight is a window set in a roof or ceiling - does it fit the context?
34 mins
open-air room/patio (roof patio)
It's difficult to be certain without the full context. It seems to have different meanings to different architects and lesser mortals (there is even such a thing as an 'open bath', which I can't imagine would generate much traction in frigid Denmark :-)) Anyway, do these terms suit your context?

Maybe it is not an actual room?
