Dutch term or phrase: kunstboekband
This is the name of an academy in Belgium:

Akademie - Hogere Leergangen voor de Moderne Kunstboekband

Normally I would leave the proper noun in Dutch/Flemish, but for this particular client I need to give an English equivalent.

The source of confusion is this: does this sooner mean advanced courses in modern art-book binding (i.e. binding art books), advanced courses in modern artistic book-binding (i.e. book binding that is artistically executed), or advanced courses in the modern art of book binding? Or something else that I've not recognized?

Thanks in advance for all help!

art book binding
Explanation:
I think "kunstboek" might mean "art book" here, as there are several kinds of binding - web reference: "In deze 2 laatste jaren kiest de student zelf in welke van de 3 vastomlijnde gebieden hij/zij zal werken (klassieke boekbinden, ***modern kunstboekbinden***, restauratie)"; I assume "kunstboekband" is an old word for "kunstboekbinden" and means the same: art book binding

I think this is the safest translation, although everyone had extremely good suggestions/theories. Thanks to everyone for taking time to help with this.
