Dutch term

forfait

Dutch to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Taxation
Single word in a box on a tax form.

At first I thought was abb. for "forfaitair" = "standard rate" - but I am not sure if that fits and wonder is there another option.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
Proposed translations (English)

Discussion

DianeGM (asker) Nov 4, 2009:
Clarification Sorry - there is not much context.
It is an entry in the "For administrative use only" section of a tax from. The row of boxes are as follows:
CONTROLE - AANGIFTE - FORFAIT - AFDELING.

Since the word is used in a taxation context I would suggest 'fixed sum' as the best option.

agree Kitty Brussaard : Yes, 'forfait' in the Dutch tax system refers to 'forfaitair bedrag' as in the sense of 'fixed deduction (amount)'.
