Dutch term

onder vrijgave van

Dutch to English Law/Patents Finance (general) Brief over koopovereenkomst

"under release of the securities" lijkt mij te letterlijk.

#Philoddard. That's correct.

Like Michael, I don't fully understand the context, but am I right that the bank has a charge on the property because it has loaned money to the existing owner? If so, this will have to be released before the new owner can buy it.
Carolien Hermans (asker) Nov 24, 2017:
Michael Beijer Nov 24, 2017:
maybe something like: "subject to release of the securities" (seems to be correct, linguistically, but I don't 100% understand what is going on here)

so a certain party is buying commercial property, and the bank is going to release certain securities (to whom?) at the moment of purchase, but … the bank has not yet formally agreed that said party can actually buy the property if the bank releases the securities (i.e., if the party purchases (or tries to purchase) the property subject to the bank releasing the securities)

I think this makes sense. See my discussion entry.
