Nog een term uit het proces van het vervaardigen van een driedimensionaal object door het te printen met een zogenaamde 3D Printer (zie ook mijn vorige vraag, http://www.proz.com/kudoz/2197558). Na het printen kan een nabewerking plaatsvinden die het object sterker maakt.

Context: "Post-processing steps may be infiltration with a functional material or sintering. The latter takes place in case of a ceramic powder to give the object its final ceramic strength, the former in case of other material types such as polymers or metals."
