This is truly appalling EN!
To start with, the expression 'to go off' is rather informal, and quite out of register here. A more suitable alternative might have been 'to work from', for example.
Although it is less unacceptable these days to end a sentence with a preposition, the use of 'go off of' couldn't be more inept!

I've a feeling that s'appuyer might also be appropriate here, but I'll leave that for the native-speakers to decide.
