Τα παίρνω πίσω τα παραπάνω. Το φτωχό το μυαλουδάκι μου δεν κατάλαβε ότι πρόκειται για ντανμπραουνοειδή παραμύθια και αναζήτησε σοβαρές ετυμολογίες. Εδώ δεν πρόκειται για φυτό που έχει σχέση με αλχημιστές αλλά με παρετυμολογίες που δεν έχουν φτάσει ακόμα στα χωρικά μας ύδατα. Αν καταλαβαίνω καλά, dew cup σύμφωνα με τον Laurence Gardner, είναι κάποιος δροσοκύλικας (δική μου λέξη, μόνο αυτοί θα φτιάχνουν;) που ξεκίνησε από τους Σουμέριους και που μολονότι το rosi-crucis σημαίνει στην πραγματικότητα «πυροκύλικας» της δρόσου – οι παρετυμολογίες εδώ δίνουν και παίρνουν, βαριέμαι να αναλύω, δείτε και μόνοι σας παρακάτω– παρεξηγήθηκε και έδωσε όνομα στους Ροδόσταυρους.

According to Laurence Gardner, writing in The Magdalene Legacy, a cross within a circle is called a Rosi-Crucis – the Dew Cup – and is the original symbol for the Holy Grail.

It is this Gra-al that became the so-called Holy Grail and this is why its equivalent in Old French means ‘blood royal’. The Grant of Arms emblem in Sumer was... a cup of waters or a Rosi-Crucis or ‘Dew Cup’. The Rosi-crucis (whose supporters were called Rosicrucians) is often misidentified as if it referred to a Rosy (or Red) Cross - but in fact the term has a rather different origin. It stems from the old Greek 'rosi', meaning 'dew', and from 'crucis' meaning 'fire-cup' (as in the word 'crucible'). Hence, the Rosi-crucis was the dew-cup of fire – or fiery cup of the waters.
