English term or phrase: feeder
Asset management is a method of allocating resources. The allocation of resources is based on the principle that not all system elements (SE) (e.g., individual assets, substations, feeders, circuits, etc.), are equally critical, or contribute equally to the value of the system, and that, consequently, not all systems elements need to operate at the same level of performance.
Prioritization may be built around several levels of analysis. At the most granular level, “asset criticality” and “asset condition” may drive the analysis. This level of analysis is being performed in the Ukraine. Alternatively, “feeder or circuit criticality” and “feeder or circuit performance” may be the level of granularity that drives the analysis. Most other businesses are performing the analysis at this level. In situations where performance is consistently below regulatory requirements or customer expectations, the feeder or circuit criticality/feeder or circuit performance is sufficiently granular to identify critical problem areas and improve performance. However, where performance is at the level required, asset condition becomes important for identifying and solving potential problems on critical assets before they fail (see next steps below).
