French to English Marketing Cosmetics, Beauty Promotion for corrective makeup
This is a short promotional text for a corrective concealer/foundation type product for sufferers of psoriasis. It concludes by pointing out the enjoyment of wearing makeup.

The context reads:

"Le maquillage, c'est d'abord une sensation agréable. Donc on ne porte pas le même regard sur nous-memes, aussi bien nous, que les autres."

I get the general idea about how we don't see ourselves as well as other people do but as I am not 100% sure of what the entire idea is about, I am not sure of the best way to translate it.
Proposed translations (English)

You / We Thank you. You may be right - I agree with the "on" issue and have used "You" throughout as I normally do for this term. However, sent translation off with the term "we" for this particular sentence as it seemed to be distinct from the rest of the "on" idea in the text. Hopefully will be OK in this instance.

It's worth noticing that whichever answer you choose, English often uses "you" where other languages use "we". In a marketing context like this, you need to appeal directly to the reader, so I feel "you" would be better.

I think that would be an appropriate translation. The idea, rather than what you suggest, is that the wearer looks different, presumably better, with make-up both to herself and to others.

as simply as possible given the tortuous French !

it lets you and others see a new you

This is a promotional text, so it needs to get across the message in the most positive way. Perhaps you could use 'see yourself in a new light', but 'a new you' is a shorter and snappier version that, in my opinion, gets straight to the point here.

A 'new you' is often used to refer to putting a certain problem behind you (in this case problem skin), which I assume is exactly what this product aims to do.
