I did post a note, but I'll repeat it here (or perhaps you weren't happy with it?)

"an" does not necessarily mean slightly thickened, and how slight is "slightly"? The person carrying out the repair will have plenty experience in this field and should know how viscous the mixture should be (i.e. not neat)

Just wondering about "an" Doesn't the "an" imply that it is another shade of "thickened", as opposed to simply "thickened"?
