German term

flächenartig angeordnet

German to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial angle grinder accessories
Ein Schleifträger mit flächenartig angeordneten Schleifblättchen aus Zirkon-Korund-Gewebe.

This is a description of a flap disc for angle grinders.
I would appreciate a translation of the whole sentence, but just the above mentioned term will certainly help.

TIA
Nathan

Thank you very much to everyone who contributed! That was very helpful. Fred gets the points, as his suggestion is closest to my final translation.

It looks like grinding disks or layered grinding discs. Maybe when one is worn out, the one below it takes over the work.

Re: your question \"flap disc\" and \"specially arranged\" are redundant IMO. You write \"Well, it\'s more of a grinding disc than a
sander attachment.\" Based on the pixs I saw, I would agree (hence \'flap disc\'), but I\'ve never used one.

I'd say

A grinder implement with grinding lamellas made of zircon-korund weave and arranged in layer-like fashion.
