Intensivpflegeplätze

German to English Medical Medical: Health Care Klinik für Anästhesie - u. Intensivmedizin
Es handelt sich um ein Kreiskrankenhaus, welches mehrere Medizinbereiche umfasst, z.B. Allgemein- u. Unfallchirurgie, Gynäkologie, HNO, Mund - Kiefer- u. Gesichtschirurgie, usw. Ausser den Hauptstationen, umfasst es noch 12 Intensivpflegeplätze.

Der Satz lautet: "Die Station umfasst 12 Intensivpflegeplätze für Patienten aus allen Bereichen des Krankenhauses einschließlich Innere Medizin."

Ich bin mir nicht sicher wie ich "Pflegeplätze" übersetzen soll. Erst dachte ich an "12 intensive care units", aber ich weiß nicht ob units mit Abteilung oder Station verwechseln werden kann. Vieleicht käme auch 12 intensive care beds/places in Frage?

I think "beds" is what they mean in this context but it's not absolutely clear ....

the patients come from a variety of wards so "beds" does it for me ...

A 36-bed critical-care unit is part of a five-story medical tower under construction on the east side of Penrose Main Hospital. The tower's second story will house the critical-care beds, and private rooms, proposed for the third story, will convert to ICU beds if needed.
