German term

Bettendruck

German to English Medical Medical: Health Care
In a cardiology report, the sentence is the final sentence and is talking about the transfer of the patient. The sentence reads:

Hiermit verlegen wir [redacted] bei akutem Bettendruck ins [redacted] und bedanken uns fuer die prompte Uebernahme.

Does this mean that the patient is confined to bed?

Thank you!

not enough context to be sure
Peer comment(s):

agree Ingeborg Gowans (X) : my first thought, too a patient who has been confined to the bed for a long time and is suffering from bedsores; a very common complaint
