Italian term
Il germoglio primario
Italian to English
Marketing
Cosmetics, Beauty
Hair loss prevention treatment
In the context of hair I cannot find anything comparable in English as everything I try to use sounds like I am talking about plantlife. I have considered "The early hair root,...", but is there something more literal that we use in English for this?

primary germ
Primitive hair germs, which are observed as a focal crowding of basal-cell nuclei in the fetal epidermis, are formed in the ninth week of intrauterine life and first appear in the regions of the upper lip, eyebrows, and chin. All further primary follicle germs begin to develop over the surface of the body during the fourth month of gestation. As the fetus grows, new primary germs form among the existing ones, and secondary germs develop in such an orientation to the primary germs so as to form new follicles in groups of three.

Here, we show that a bioengineered hair follicle germ, which was reconstituted with embryonic skin-derived epithelial and mesenchymal cells and ectopically transplanted, was able to develop histologically correct hair follicles.

Ho aggiunto i riferimenti in inglese!
