Gli artisti coinvolti, professori, studenti o ex studenti del Conservatorio, provengono da 42 nazioni diverse e si esibiscono in ensemble, gruppi camestici o come solisti eseguendo musiche che vanno dal '500 ai giorni nostri.

I have no other context. There are a few references to this on the internet but nothing that gives me a clearer idea of what it is.
Any help much appreciated. I suppose it could be a typo for cameristico - chamber music?
