obscure term
W tym kontekście. Ewentualnie bardziej dosłownie: obscure phrase.
Most professions have their own languages, and the U.S. Navy with its obscure terms and labored acronyms is certainly no exception.

: Tu nie chodzi o zwroty, których nikt nie potrafi zrozumieć, lecz o zwroty nieznane przeciętnemu odbiorcy ("zwykłemu śmiertelnikowi"). || Hm, z "jargon" nawet to pasuje - z "phrases" jest dwuznaczne (może znaczyć "niezrozumiale sformułowane").

Zgadza się, stąd moja propozycja :) Incomprehensible: Difficult or impossible to understand or comprehend; unintelligible: incomprehensible jargon. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/incomprehensible

: Można opisowo, ale trzeba by dodać "by an average person" (bo przecież specjaliści zrozumieją) - a "terms which will not be understood by an average person" to... "obscure terms". :-) || W linku niemal wszędzie jest "by" (np. "others").

Thank you. The words 'by an average person' are not essential: http://sameurl.com/snTXD

: I like this, as it does not use any obscure or incomprehensible words - "will" can be replaced with "may" or "may be difficult to" to make incomprehension less certain

Thank you. Yes, 'may' is an excellent option: http://sameurl.com/KGbMP http://sameurl.com/Wbxn5

Discussion
Jeśli "specjalistycznej terminologii" przetłumaczymy jako "specialist(ic) terminology", to wcześniej "obscure phrases/expressions".
