neutral  Mark Robertson: In Source 1 the terms used in the article are noise disturbance or noise pollution. Noise abuse could well be badly borrowed from ESL. Source 2 is written very colloquially and in noise abuse, abuse means specific and direct maltreatment.

agree  NataliaAnne: Looking at these (and other) examples of ‘noise disturbance’ in use, it seems that its use is as equally valid as ‘noise pollution’. I tried to determine a distinction but haven’t yet managed. Would love to hear ideas about this!
