Context nu pot să dau, e o înşiruire de utilaje achiziţionate pentru înfiinţarea unui atelier de prelucrare a lemnului.
Ifronul arată aşa: http://www.irum.ro/ro/produse/ifron204d.html şi bănuiesc că e un nume de firmă producatoare sau de marcă devenit nume de utilaj, care utilaj în cazul nostru se foloseşte la încărcat, deci eu i-aş spune “loader”. La “încărcător cu graifăr” dicţionarul tehnic îmi dă “loader with grab bucket”. Pe Google am găsit “grab bucket unloader”, dar probabil că poate să şi încarce, nu doar să descarce…

Tocmai am avut o experienţă care-mi alimentează suspiciunea faţă de dicţionarul tehnic şi am nevoie de confirmare. Bottomline is: pot să-i spun ifronului cu graifăr “grab bucket loader” sau nu pot? :)

To me it doesn't really look much like a "bucket", since a bucket would be more like this:

Okay, so it's a "bucket fork", but you see what I mean! It doesn't look like a container, more like a "claw" which grips the logs.

Imaginea din linkul dat de tine pare sa arate un front loader... Sunt site-uri care fac diferenta dintre front loader (cazul IFRON 204-D din imagine) si bucket loader (cel cu graifer).

Sper ca nu sunt complet pe dinafara :)

agree  alina_p: Yup... According to the same technical dictionary, grapple means "graifăr" as well, and it does seem more appropriate.
