To Kurt: I did not mean that the translation should be "army smthg", it was only an example of usage the "on the march" expression (suggested by yourself) :-)
Word-wise thisis def. transportation batallion. The abv. follows the pattern of "ctrojbat," or "construction batallion." Maybe "army" will work for the translaton contextually, but it wouldn't be 100% accurate.
